SAP® Resource, Project and Portfolio Management, also known as SAP® PM, is a web application (NetWeaver) included in SAP® Solution Manager, allowing management of operational projects within an organization. SAP® PPM aims to address the need to manage your projects collaboratively in a single database within inter and intra business environment.

All businesses and organizations, regardless of industry, needing to manage their projects on a daily basis can use SAP® PPM. The tool is designed to facilitate management of any project, whether IT or not. In particular, SAP®PPM is designed to integrate the most common methodological standards in project management: PACE®, APQP, Six Sigma or Stage-Gate ®.
